Maruichi Asagi.


Description: This is an Asagi hone with Maruka and Nihon Kamisori stamps, there is also an aditional Maruichi stamp. It is a very hard stone, with a reasonably fast cutting speed. There is a vein at the top far left of the hone, it cannot be felt during the honing process and does not cause and issues. This hone is pre attached to Japanese cypress. The Maruka stamp is somewhat faded, so for photographic purposes, the stamp was wet with water.

(Note, the right hand edge of the hone came quite rounded, otherwise the width would be 5.5CM)
