Maruichi Nakayama Kiita/Asagi blend with Nashiji


Description: This is a Kiita/Asagi blend hone with Nashiji appearance, and Nihon Kamisori stamp. The base of this hone comes prelapped exposing the Nashiji pattern, it was not lapped by anyone of oldschoolshaving.net.
Both side have been tested for use, the top with the stamps is very hard and has a slow cutting speed, the base is also very hard, but has a faster cutting speed due to Nashiji, which is a feature that provides a faster cutting power in hones.
At the top left hand corner of the stamped side, you will see a small hole that is white, fortunately this is out of the way and will/should not harm your razor. The white inside the hole is a little residue from a true Nagura. On the base there is a vein, this is not a crack and does not effect achievement of the perfect edge. There is a small chip at the edge of the base.
